Peer Review Policy

Research and Analysis Journals follows a rigorous, fair, and ethical peer-review process to evaluate the quality, originality, validity, and academic significance of submitted manuscripts. The journal is committed to maintaining high scholarly standards through an impartial and structured evaluation process.

Purpose of Peer Review

The peer-review process evaluates the scientific quality, originality, relevance, methodology, clarity, ethical compliance, and contribution of submitted manuscripts. Peer review also provides authors with constructive feedback that may help improve the quality and presentation of their research.

Review Process

All manuscripts submitted to the journal undergo an initial editorial screening before being considered for peer review.

The review process generally includes the following stages:

  1. Initial screening by the editorial office.

  2. Evaluation of the manuscript's scope, basic quality, formatting, and ethical compliance.

  3. Plagiarism or similarity screening where appropriate.

  4. Assignment of the manuscript to qualified and independent reviewers.

  5. Evaluation of the manuscript by normally at least two reviewers.

  6. Submission of reviewers' comments and recommendations.

  7. Editorial evaluation of the reviewers' reports.

  8. Communication of the editorial decision to the authors.

  9. Revision and resubmission, where required.

  10. Final editorial decision and publication of accepted manuscripts.

The journal may modify the number of reviewers where appropriate depending on the subject, complexity, or circumstances of a particular manuscript.

Type of Peer Review

Research and Analysis Journals primarily follows a double-blind peer-review process, in which the identities of authors and reviewers are concealed from each other during the review process, where practicable.

Authors should therefore remove identifying information from the manuscript file intended for anonymous review where required by the journal's submission procedures.

Reviewer Selection

Reviewers are selected based on their academic qualifications, subject expertise, research experience, publication record, and relevant specialization.

The journal seeks to appoint reviewers who are independent of the authors and who do not have conflicts of interest that could affect the objectivity of the review.

Review Criteria

Reviewers may evaluate manuscripts based on the following criteria:

  • Originality and novelty of the research.

  • Relevance to the scope of the journal.

  • Scientific or scholarly significance.

  • Appropriateness and rigor of the research methodology.

  • Validity of data analysis and interpretation.

  • Clarity, structure, and quality of presentation.

  • Quality and relevance of references and citations.

  • Validity of the conclusions.

  • Compliance with relevant research ethics and publication standards.

  • Overall contribution to the relevant field of research.

Editorial Decisions

Following consideration of the reviewers' reports and the editor's independent assessment, a manuscript may receive one of the following decisions:

  • Accept without changes.

  • Accept subject to minor revisions.

  • Major revisions required and resubmission invited.

  • Reject.

The final decision regarding publication is made by the responsible editor or the Editor-in-Chief based on the overall scholarly evaluation of the manuscript. A decision is not necessarily determined solely by a numerical vote or recommendation from reviewers.

Confidentiality

Manuscripts submitted for review and all associated review materials are treated as confidential. Editors and reviewers must not disclose, share, or use confidential information obtained through the peer-review process for personal or professional advantage.

Reviewers must not disclose the contents of a manuscript or discuss it with unauthorized individuals without permission from the journal.

Conflict of Interest

Editors and reviewers must disclose any actual, potential, or perceived conflict of interest that could influence their evaluation of a manuscript.

A reviewer should decline an assignment where a conflict of interest may compromise, or reasonably appear to compromise, the impartiality of the review.

Ethical Responsibilities of Reviewers

Reviewers are expected to:

  • Provide objective, fair, and constructive comments.

  • Evaluate manuscripts based on scholarly merit rather than personal, institutional, or other irrelevant considerations.

  • Maintain the confidentiality of the manuscript and review process.

  • Identify relevant published work that has not been appropriately cited where applicable.

  • Inform the editor of suspected plagiarism, duplicate publication, data fabrication, falsification, or other ethical concerns.

  • Avoid making requests for citations solely to increase the reviewer's or another author's citation count.

  • Complete reviews within the agreed timeframe or inform the editor if additional time is required.

Revision and Resubmission

When revisions are requested, authors should respond to the reviewers' comments in a clear and detailed manner and submit a revised manuscript within the timeframe specified by the journal.

The submission of a revised manuscript does not guarantee acceptance. Revised manuscripts may be returned to the original reviewers or evaluated by the editor, depending on the nature and extent of the revisions.

Appeals and Complaints

Authors may appeal an editorial decision by submitting a reasoned written appeal to the editorial office within a reasonable period after the decision.

An appeal should explain the specific grounds for reconsideration and should address factual errors, significant misunderstandings of the manuscript, or evidence that the editorial or review process was not conducted in accordance with the journal's stated procedures.

Appeals are considered by the responsible editor or another appropriate senior editorial representative who was not directly involved in the original decision where reasonably practicable. An appeal does not guarantee reversal of the original decision, and the decision following the appeal may be final.

Authors may also contact the journal regarding complaints concerning the peer-review or editorial process. Complaints are handled fairly and, where possible, independently of the individual involved in the complaint.

Commitment to Quality and Integrity

Research and Analysis Journals is committed to maintaining a fair, rigorous, confidential, and ethical peer-review process. The journal continuously seeks to improve its editorial and peer-review practices in accordance with recognized standards of scholarly publishing and research integrity.
