Abstract
: This Study Was Carried In Nsenkwa Village Located Adjacent To Rukwa Game Reserve In Order To Assess Implication Of Community’s Livelihoods On Rukwa Game Reserve, Which Involved 98 Household Respondents. Study Focused Mainly On The Community Livelihood, How They Interact With Wildlife Conservation And Its Effects Of Community To The Wildlife Conservation. Various Methods Of Data Collection Were Used Questionnaires, Documentary Review, Field Observations And Secondary Data From Different Sources Were Collected. The Data Collected Were Analyzed Using Spss And Simple Descriptive Statistics. Community Livelihood Interact With Wildlife Conservation Results Revealed That, Major Source Of Community Livelihoods Were Farmers, Livestock Keepers, Beekeepers And Lumbering Activities, But Many Of Respondents Were Engaging In Farmers. Effects Of Community Interact With Wildlife Conservation Results Revealed That Bushfire, Pollution, Loss Of Natural Vegetation, Poaching, Deforestation, Exotic Species, Loss Of Habitat, Drying Water Table, Loss Of Pasture, Chasing Faraway Wild Animals, Loss Of Biodiversity And Change Vegetation Cover. The Study Conclude That, Effects Of Activities Interacting With Protected Areas On The Livelihoods Of Communities Living Or Bordering The Rukwa Game Reserve Are Use Of Fertilizer, Deforestation, Loss Of Biodiversity, Chasing Far Away Of Animals And Loss Of Habitat Have Been Reported That Reduce The Efficiency Of Katavi - Rukwa Ecosystem, Since It Increases Illegal Wildlife Utilization, Environmental Degradation And Poverty.The Study Recommend That, Rukwa Game Reserve Should Setting Clear Environmental Management Plan (Emp) Through Which It Can Involve Community In Conservation Of Reserve And Setting An Efficient Conservation Benefit Sharing Mechanism.
